Why 1-ON-1?

Although Output provides coaching on many different levels (i.e. small group, team training, online programming, etc.), we proudly offer a service that identifies with those searching for an in-depth 1-on-1 relationship with their coach. This is a perfect solution for those who need accountability, documentation (i.e. weight check-ins, workouts documented, video of movement patterns, and regular check-ins), and lifestyle coaching (dieting advice, life decision-making, and other unique factors that impact you in and out of the gym).

Unlike small group training, the documentation aspect of this service is key. It quantifies progress and proves that long-term commitment and intelligent output drives significant health- and life-related progress. We want to strategize behind your goals, plan for execution, execute the plan, analyze the results, then repeat (S.P.E.A.R.).

Impacting your life is a long-term effort. It’s a practice of placing one step in front of the other. In order to set you up for success, we ask all those participating in this program to commit to an initial 6-month term.

Our Process

Our process starts off with gathering information about you. We document health-related data, but also (and more importantly) our team needs to understand what is driving you to make this decision. What are your short-term goals? How do they complement the long-term goal(s)? Is the long-term goal gaining strength, leaning out, becoming more explosive, bulking up? If these list items represent the physical goals, then what are your motivating factors (e.g. competing in a meet, proving to yourself that you can “do it,” becoming more productive at work, becoming a professional athlete, etc.).

Once we get to know you during this initial consultation, our team will then conduct a functional movement systems test (subsequent session). Our head performance coaches will then be able to derive the microcycles and mesocycles from your macro goals and capabilities. We will attack your weaknesses and play an integral part in your transformation by being your coach both in and out of the facility.

As your program progresses, we will consistently check in with you (every 4-6 weeks) to review progress (e.g. weight check-in, form progress, lifestyle check-in, program pivots, and other variables based on your goals).

Short-/Long-term Goals

Output Performance keeps track of your goals (both short-term and long-term), and will change your goals as we progress and surpass what we collectively set out to accomplish. Health drives progress outside of the gym. We want to know and keep track of how you’re attacking life and “taking over the world.” When commitment and vision meets hard work and accountability, then we know we have a recipe that will not only impact you, but also those around you for the better.

Lifestyle Check-ins

What is a lifestyle check-in? There are 168 hours in a week. Hopefully you’re sleeping 56 of those hours (leaving 112 hours left). If you train at Output 3 times per week for 60 minutes per session (on average) then there are 109 hours left to easily undo all of the hard work you and our coaching staff have invested in you/yourself. Lifestyle check-ins formally occur every 4-6 weeks and are opportunities to clear the air and inform your coach of what’s happening in your life that could be positively or negatively impacting your training.

Accountability

Not many people enjoy constructive criticism. However, holding our athletes, general fitness clients, and teams accountable by challenging each and every member makes him or her better. We don’t believe in “sandbagging” it, and our community and philosophy will guard against it.
